Are you a local community group, charity or business in need of office furniture? Then Frome Town Council may be able to help.
“Frome Town Council asked Somerset County Council to leave any furniture that was surplus to them in Frome Town Hall and we have now allocated the furniture that is needed for community groups and the Council itself in the building,” explained Town Clerk, Paul Wynne.
“There is still a fair amount left and we would like to help out any small businesses, charities or community groups that are in need of furniture but perhaps don’t have the budget to buy everything they need.
“We are opening the doors of the Town Hall on Friday 27 May from 10am and giving away what we don’t need. There are no complete sets but there will be desks, pedestals and miscellaneous items.
“All we ask is that those interested in looking at what is there have the means to take the furniture away on the day and leave an optional small monetary donation that will be given to Fair Frome.
“Regrettably we cannot reserve any items in advance. All items will be allocated on a first come first served basis.”
Council staff will be present on the day. For more information, please contact Laura at poultonl@frometowncouncil.gov.uk or on 01373 475572
