The community is invited to an open afternoon of bowls at Frome Park Bowling Club this Sunday.
The bowling green is situated in Victoria Park and is home to the well-established club, which was formed in 1931.
In recent years, the club has grown in popularity. Members pride themselves on being a friendly group and, this Sunday, 27th April, they are welcoming residents to a Bowls Open Day for anyone who would like to try the sport, from 2pm to 5pm.
“Members will be on hand to guide you and give you a chance to try out this wonderful game of bowls,” says club president Steve West.
“This will be a great opportunity for anybody to come along and give it a go. All we ask is that you wear flat-bottomed shoes to play on the green. All other kit will be provided.”
