The members of the OPUS III choir will be singing their hearts out at their forthcoming concert on Friday 24 February.
This popular annual event will take place once again at the charming Wanstrow village hall. The programme shows a mixture of folk songs and ballads and popular light-hearted well known melodies.
The OPUS III choir was started by Anne Stilton some 30 years ago and has been raising funds ever since for the benefit of numerous good causes and church appeals. For this concert they have chosen two medical charities, the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and Freewheelers. It is well known what the air ambulance does, while Freewheelers is the charity that provides out of hours emergency courier services to hospitals for blood, records and equipment. Volunteers on motorcycles provide this service free of charge.
On the evening the bar will open half an hour before the 7.30 pm start. Beside the choir performance the price of £12 also includes a finger buffet.
The event is organised by the Rotary Club of Frome Selwood www.fromeselwoodrotary.org.uk
Tickets are available from Anne Stilton on 01749 342648 or from Selwood Rotary members.
