ORCHARDLEIGH Golf Club Ladies’ section celebrated another wonderful year at their recent annual Christmas lunch and trophy presentation which was extremely well supported with both playing and non-playing members in attendance.
A number of new members have recently joined the club, including the new Ladies’ club champion, Sue Marshall, who said, “As a relatively new golfer and member I have been made to feel so welcome by all the ladies and have been introduced to a new world I never knew existed. Coffee mornings, opens and matches have given me a whole new experience and it has been simply wonderful. I would recommend anyone to make contact with the club and take the first steps.”

The group is very active and has teams in the Bristol and District Alliance League as well as the Somerset Interclub League where a number of clubs in the local and surrounding area play matches both at home and away, with teams comprising of seven ladies.
