Frome’s sprint distance triathlon returns this month with competitors swimming 400 metres, cycling 24 km and running 5 km in and around Frome.
The event, on 19th July, will start and finish at the leisure centre on Princess Anne Road and will see athletes go head-to-head in a fast-paced competition. As well as individuals competing, there is also a relay option for people wishing to enter as a team.
Organisers, Frome Triathlon Club, said, “Race HQ is at Frome Sports and Fitness Centre, so there are great facilities and it is a great event for spectators. There’s always a fantastic atmosphere at the finish line, with cheering, music and food. We will be running a familiarisation session of the bike route nearer the event date.”
The event starts at 7am.
Frome Triathlon Club are looking for volunteers to help make race day happen including course marshals, transition support, swim lap counters, finish line support plus more.
