PACE, the social group for people with physical disabilities, is hosting an open day this Thursday, 28th March.
The event will be held at Gorehedge Community Room from 10.30am until 1pm and is an opportunity for anyone in the community to find out more about what the group do. There will be raffle on the day and activities that people can take part in. The group is also looking for people to help support the group financially.
On behalf of the group, Carol Harper says, “We are currently looking for more members to welcome to PACE and we would be pleased to give you more information for you to pass on to anyone that you feel might benefit from the opportunity to join a friendly, social group.
“We meet every Thursday and offer social interaction, friendship and support to those who may not have an active social life, or might be feeling isolated. We have two professional carers, who are very experienced in the needs of those with physical disabilities, thereby offering the opportunity for primary carers to have a break.
“We hope that you will be able to drop in to see firsthand how our members enjoy and benefit from sessions and how they can grow in confidence and self esteem.
“For more information, don’t hesitate to give me a call on 07980 120347 or send me an email at pacefrome@gmail.com.”
