After a hugely enjoyable debut show in the summer, another evening of variety is coming up at The Merlin with a fresh, and eclectic new line-up.
It’s brought to you by the award-winning New Old Friends Theatre Company with the evening being hosted by Fearg.
“We have secured a top-quality bill headlined by legendary comedy improv company, Instant Wit!” said Fearg. “Featuring among the performers, Jon Monie, so beloved of Bath pantomime audiences, our fast-paced sketches, songs and gags are completely improvised and directed by the audience – addictive, hilarious, and always unique.
“Speaking of hilarious songs, Frome’s own master of musical mischief, Tom Veck, is making an appearance. Tom’s witty ditties (often inspired by the confessions of strangers) have earned him five-star reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe and a packed solo show at this year’s Frome Festival. A real local favourite and not one to miss.

“Continuing the theme of local greats, opening the night is the incomparable and indecently entertaining The Frukes, giving banging tunes a Fruke twist with their ukuleles!
“Three great acts. One ticket. Boundless entertainment.
“For those that missed the first Pick & Mix, the nights are joyful, welcoming evenings of playful nonsense and brilliant performances all for the price of a takeaway. Grab a ticket and join the community. Bring a mate, or a date, or fly solo. You won’t regret it.

“We didn’t really know what to expect from the first night, but we had a great audience in and everyone seemed to have a truly lovely time so it was a fairly easy decision to do another in the new season.
“This time around the blend is much more music & comedy combined, but I’ll be cooking up something to make sure we’re delivering that ‘variety’ aspect. We cannot wait for this one, should be a cracker.”
The event is on Friday 10th October, 7.30pm at the Merlin Theatre. For more details or to book tickets visit their website.
