MENDIP Community Speed Watch coordinator Ashley Reay has received a long service and dedication to duty award at a recent awards ceremony held at police headquarters in Portishead.
Ashley said that while he was delighted and honoured to receive such an award, he accepted it on behalf of all those 200 plus CSW members of Mendip who day in, day out, are trying to slow the traffic down in their village or town and to make their communities safer.
“It is not my award, said Ashley, “it is our award.”
