A new stall at Frome Flea Market will offer a range of local fossils for sale, as well as helping members of the public identify their own fossils.
The stall is the idea of local fossil collector, Simon Carpenter, who will be displaying a few of his own spectacular fossils on the stall.
Simon says, “I’m really keen to support Somerset Earth Science Centre, based at Moons Hill Quarry, Stoke St Michael. They provide inspirational and engaging learning experiences for schools, colleges, universities and community groups.
The money raised from the sale of fossils will go to support their work to promote the natural sciences.”
The Pop-up Fossil Museum will happen every Wednesday during the months of January, February and March as part of Frome Flea Market. This is held in the Cheese & Grain, Frome town centre.
