FROME Town Council is continuing to partner with the Centre for Sustainable Energy (CSE) to deliver more energy advice drop-in sessions.
The CSE offer people judgement-free advice on how to cut energy costs in the home and a new set of sessions are now planned. So with autumn energy price rises predicated, the summer is the perfect time to get your home ready for the coming season.
The sessions, part of Green and Healthy Futures Healthy Homes project, have given many people easily accessible information and advice to help make their homes as warm and efficient as possible ahead of the colder months.
Cllr Anne Hills said, “We’ve already seen big successes from this programme, with the CSE helping over 583 households lowering their energy usage. 89 of these cases have led to grant funded retrofit work. But we also know that many more people would benefit from the same advice. Take part in these free sessions to help prepare yourself for more difficult times ahead!”
The next drop-in sessions will take place on the following dates:
• Tuesday 26th July – 9.30am to 1pm at the Town Hall, and 2pm to 5pm at Asda
• Friday 16th September – 10am-4pm at the library
Alongside these sessions, there will be a series of telephone appointments with the CSE on Tuesday 9th and Friday 26th August.
