FROME College’s first principal’s awards afternoon for outstanding student achievements, and their families was hosted by principal, Emma Reynolds, on 10th July.
Parents arrived at the college to enjoy tea with strawberry meringues and cream, made by students in food technology.
The formal awards and presentation was held in the sunny Memorial Garden, with an opening welcome from Ms Reynolds, followed by the group of music students who participated in the Somerset Schools Big Sing, with their rendition of ‘Next to Me’ by Emeli Sande.
60 students were invited to attend for their achievements over the academic year, together with Frome Town Mayor, Richard Ackroyd, Christopher Stilton from Frome Selwood Rotary, Norman Elmer from Frome Rotary, and June Barnes MBE.
