Following the success of last year’s event, Frome Writers Collective is now planning a second Small Publishers’ Fair and it’s offering local businesses the chance to promote their products and services through a low cost sponsorship deal.
Small Publishers’ Fair group chair, Sue Watts said, “Obviously, it would be brilliant if any company were able to offer a substantial donation, but bearing in mind the many demands on people’s pockets, what we have in mind a number of companies contributing smaller sums to make up the £300 total we’re looking for.
“What we are offering in return is the inclusion of the sponsor’s name and logo in the Fair brochure, the opportunity to distribute promotional literature at the Fair and a link to their website from our own.
“We’re pretty flexible on this, however, and would be happy to talk to anyone who would like to support us in any way.
“We’ve already had repeat bookings from several of the small publishers who exhibited last year and are now talking to several more, giving us high hopes that we will be able to sell all of the stand space in the Silk Mill again.
“As a result, we’ll be able be able to attract many writers and book lovers to the event, giving our sponsors the chance to spread the word about their products, their services and their plans for the future.”
The Fair, which takes place in The Silk Mill on Saturday, July 8th, will complement the already strong literary content of the 2017 Frome Festival and is part of Frome Writers’ Collective’s programme of help and guidance to local writers on their journey to publishing their work as well as an exciting event for book lovers. It’s planned it will become an annual event and a significant part of the overall Festival programme.
Sue added, “If you’d like to talk to us about sponsorship of the Fair, contact FWC secretary Liz Hutchinson on lizhutchinson01@yahoo.co.uk. It’s a great promotional opportunity – and not just for those connected to the world of books.”
