Frome Selwood Tennis Club is holding a public consultation day on Saturday 20th July, from 12am until 4pm. The club is planning to build a new clubhouse and is also hoping to obtain approval from Frome Town Council to add floodlighting to the adjacent community courts.
A Sport England Community Asset Fund grant of 50% has already been obtained toward the clubhouse, and the club is hopeful that Sport England will also support the floodlighting project, if Frome Town Council give the go-ahead.
The club says, “The public is invited to come and look at the proposals and provide their view. Alongside the consultation day, the club is holding its annual Finals Day, and the club committee would also like to invite the public to come and enjoy some tennis, have their speed of serve measured and perhaps enjoy some Pimm’s and a barbecue.
“So; come and have your say!”
