POLICE are appealing for the public’s help to find items stolen in a high value burglary in Frome.
The incident happened during the early hours of 1st December (between 4am-9.20am).
A large number of items including a children’s motorbike and tools were taken from the garage in Ashtree Road in the Fromefield area.
The bike was a white Stomp Pit Bike with graffiti-style decoration on the frame. It was a Christmas present for a relative of the owner.
In addition, more than 50 different tools – all “Snap On” branded – were taken including; a range of socket sets; air cutting tool; rivet gun; hydraulic pliers; spanner sets; screwdrivers; torque wrenches; circuit tester; and an electronic test light.
These had been built up over a number of years by the owner and have great sentimental value.
It is likely a vehicle was used to take the items away from the property by the suspect(s).
Police say, “We’re keen to hear from anyone who may have noticed early morning activity in the Ashtree Road/ Stonebridge Drive/ Bath Road area of the town on the 1st December.
“Also we would like to hear from anyone who has been offered a white coloured Stomp motorbike or any “Snap On” branded tools.
“We would like second-hand shop owners to remain vigilant and contact us if they are offered any of the above items.
“Anyone able to help our enquiry into the burglary is asked to contact us, quoting 5218266450.”
