MONEY raised by students at St John’s School has helped to improve playtime, with the purchase of new outdoor tables to play games on.
The school reports, “St John’s School’s year 4 house captains meet with the headteacher every week to discuss important issues in school, including their own fundraising ideas. With the money they have raised already this academic year, they have been able to purchase new table tops for playing games outside.
“They did a presentation in front of the whole school in collective worship this week, alongside the school councillors, all about the new tables which arrived earlier this month.
“Children are already enjoying playing on them at break times, and in the Twilight after-school club. This week, it’s been really lovely to see some of the older children giving the younger ones impromptu chess lessons.”
