PUPILS at Christ Church C of E First School in Frome are so eager to see their new classrooms being built at the school, they have used their imagination to create pictures of what they think is behind the hoardings separating the existing school from the new extension.
Children created pictures of the new four-classroom extension, being constructed by Yeovil-based Morgan Sindall, which were then judged by the Morgan Sindall team with a winner chosen from each year.
Each winning artist received a book token from Morgan Sindall and the prize pictures are to be displayed in the new building once it is complete.
Sarah Bullmore, head teacher said, “The new classrooms are currently hidden behind hoardings as they are being completed, so there is much speculation as to what the building will look like. Everyone at the school is very excited for the new classrooms to be revealed.”
Simon King, contracts manager for Morgan Sindall said, “With all the anticipation around the new extension at the school, we thought it would be a good idea to run a competition for the pupils to show how they think they will look. All of the designs were fantastic and the winning pictures are particularly creative.
“The Morgan Sindall team looks forward to the children’s reaction when they finally see the classrooms for the first time. We hope it lives up to their imaginative expectations.”
