PUPILS at Oakfield Academy were treated to a recent visit by local astronomers that ended in a special mobile planetarium show.
“Bath Astronomers recently visited Oakfield Academy for a very engaging astronomy evening with the Key Stage 3 STEM club, both pupils and parents,” said the school. “Unfortunately, the clouds weren’t co-operative, so they couldn’t go stargazing; however the astronomers delivered a talk on how telescopes work and on using remote telescopes.
“To conclude the evening, we were treated to an awe-inspiring show in the mobile planetarium on the sun and the origin of the elements.”
