FROME Puppet Workshops are being held this month; making, creating, and performing with puppets of all kinds; glove puppets, rod puppets, masks and monsters, finger puppets and more.
Greg Stephens of Frome Puppet Workshop said, “An amazing, creative and original way to spend an afternoon, with few boundaries, Frome Puppet Workshops have as little or as much structure as you want and there’s lot of fun to be had in this creative group of slightly mad puppet makers.
“Guidance and help is available if you want it but you’re free to create and make whatever you want. Anything from a finger puppet to a life-sized fantasy monster costume – dragons, goblins and faeries abound, as well as pirates, monsters and crazy masks. Some performing/film making if you like, or just making and creating – you write the script.”
“Frome Puppet Workshops are held every Wednesday afternoon in the Scout Hut at the top of Welshmill Lane (before it becomes Selwood Road) in Frome. Beginners and experienced makers/performers/puppeteers/film makers are all welcome for an afternoon of fun and puppet-based theatrical creativity.
“The workshops start at 1.30pm and run until about 5.30pm (children welcome if accompanied/supervised by a parent) some materials and refreshments are provided.”
