FROME Freelancers is running a workshop – Reframe Social Media Marketing – for freelancers, the self-employed, creatives and community groups on Friday 16th September from 10am-12pm at Frome Town Council.
Sarah Page who will be running the workshop says, “How do you feel when you see the word marketing? Trying to convince people to buy stuff, trying to post something on Instagram, pointing at things in mid-air because everyone has to do reels, it can be completely overwhelming for small business owners. Even the ones with a marketing business.”
Sarah has a different take on the world of marketing. Not out to just help people sell stuff, she recognises there is a deeper, more meaningful way to use this skill set.
“What is it about marketing that’s actually interesting?” says Sarah, “It’s the connections, the people, story-telling, the human psychology that makes people resonate to something, or not and what effect that can have”.
People are invited to reframe how they see and approach marketing in small business. The day will start at 10am for arrival and coffee, the social media marketing segment will start at 10.15am, a break at 10.45 am, workshop at 11am and networking time at 11.30am.
“Perhaps it’ll unleash something creative in you,” says Sarah, “perhaps it’ll help you feel a bit better about not having to do everything. Find out how marketing can be really impactful, creative and fun”.
Tickets for the workshop can be purchased on the Eventbrite website https:// ff-sept-22.eventbrite. co.uk or contact sara@gracefulsolutions.co.uk if you would rather avoid the booking fee.
