Professional photographer, Jack Lowe, will give a talk and show a selection of his photographs from ‘The Life Boat Station Project’ at the Frome Wessex Camera Club on 12th January, at Beckington Memorial Hall, Beckington, near Frome BA11 6SH.
The hall will be open at 7.15pm for a 7.45pm start. A very limited number of tickets are available to purchase at £5 per person. Please email the secretary at fwccsec@gmail.
Longtime RNLI champion and supporter, photographer Jack Lowe is creating one of the largest projects ever undertaken in the history of photography. Travelling in his mobile darkroom (the decommissioned NHS ambulance Neena) Jack is using an ancient process to make photographs on glass as the Victorians used to between the 1850s and 1880s, photographing every RNLI station, to create an unprecedented photographic documentation and a complete body of beautiful, engaging work.
