Tickets are selling fast for the Frome Musical Theatre Company’s annual pantomime.
Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood runs from 29th December – 3rd January at the Memorial Theatre showcasing the young talent of newcomers and a few familiar faces.
Starring as lovable ‘Nurse Nellie Nickerelastic’ is Frome’s favourite dame Humphrey Barnes. Making a come back and dusting off his frock for the 35th time, Humphrey is looking forward to performing this Christmas, especially alongside his grandson George.
George Langley and Ella Evans, both just 10, play the Babes and have already appeared in many FMTC shows; George appeared as Chip in the 2012 production of Beauty & the Beast and Ella played Gretl, the youngest of the von Trapp children in the Sound of Music last year.
As well as rehearsals the cast are also taking part in a 24-hour sponsored sing, a fundraiser to ensure audiences continue to enjoy the high standards they’ve come to expect. What better way for this group to have fun and raise much- needed funds than to sing their socks off for a great cause. The event is taking place from 21st-22nd November and will involve members from recent shows such as Our House, Showstoppers, the Wizard of Oz and Hello Dolly! To express an interest in sponsoring please contact us via their website www.fromemtc.co.uk or their Facebook Page.
