Frome Town Rotary is asking you to change your perception of what you might think Rotary is.
They are a new and innovative kind of Rotary Club. They welcome anyone who wants to be part of an active social group, whilst being prepared to help charities and good causes locally and overseas.
Rotary is an amazing organisation with more than 1.2million members in over 200 countries. they are fighting poverty, disease and disasters throughout the world. www.rotary.org.
Frome Town have an active social programme which has included tours of Frome, by the Civic Society, country walks, playing boule, adventure golf, visits to local museums. Outside meeting nights they have had parties, silent discos, pig racing nights and meals out.
Alongside this, they have raised money for Bath Cancer Unit, The Pod, Fair Frome, Frome Falcons Powerchair Football Club, the Indonesian tsunami and the East African floods. The club adds, “We have also helped with the Half Marathon, Frome Carnival, Frome Cheese Show, The Bath and West Show, Kids Out, the Father Christmas Float and helped organise the Frome Fireworks.
“If you would like to have the opportunity to make new friends and have some fun, whilst putting something back into the community, then come along and meet us at our free event on Tuesday July 2nd at the Cheese and Grain, Frome from 7.30pm.
