FROME’S Jan Lake says she is delighted with her recent half marathon triumph in Bath.
Jan ran the streets of the Roman city on Sunday 1st March to complete the race, cheered along by a small army of canine supporters from Greyhound Rescue West of England (GRWE).
In completing the 13.1 mile course Jan has raised over £600 for GRWE, and every penny will be well spent. She said, “I had an amazing day. It was obviously very hard work, but seeing the dogs as I ran was a huge boost.
“The money I raised will help to prepare those dogs to become wonderful family pets. Our charity has a fabulous record for quality homing work.”
Jan and GRWE would like to thank everyone who sponsored her. Their kind donations will go a long way to helping rescue homeless dogs in 2015.
