OWNER of the Wig Sanctuary in Frome, Cassie King, has collected nearly £1,200 for Dorothy House since November 2009. Cassie handed the latest cheque, for £170.53, to Dorothy House fundraiser Yvonne Brunton earlier this month, bringing the total to £1,176.63. Cassie provides free consultations for her clients, but gives them the option of making a donation to Dorothy House. She works largely with people who are losing their hair as a result of chemotherapy, but her clients also include those suffering from alopecia – as well as people who simply like to change their look from time to time. Cassie has supported Dorothy House for some years, since a close friend was cared for by the Winsley-based hospice. She said, “The care provided by the team at Dorothy House was second to none and made a huge difference to my friend and her family.” Yvonne Brunton from Dorothy House said, “Cassie provides a fantastic service – her consultation room gives a real sense of sanctuary. She’s very empathetic and sensitive to the needs of her clients – a real confidence booster. We’re so grateful for her support.” Find out more about the Wig Sanctuary at www.thewigsite.co.uk Pictured: Wig Sanctuary owner Cassie King, right, with Yvonne Brunton of Dorothy House
