OAKFIELD Academy recently said goodbye to two apprentice teaching assistants as they moved on after nearly 18 months at the school.
On Friday 17th June pupils and staff said a sad farewell to Emma Smith and Ollie Mepham, who joined in February 2015.
Emma has secured a job as a teaching assistant at Hemington School, nearer her home in Radstock, and Ollie will be attending Exeter University to study a foundation degree in sports coaching and fitness.
School spokesperson Dawn Warren said, “Emma and Ollie started as apprentices in February 2015, and their contribution to the school has been really valued.
“They have both grown in confidence over the time they have been training with us and have proved themselves to be flexible and hard working colleagues.
“Oakfield has greatly benefitted from their commitment, dependability and enthusiasm, and it is fantastic to see both Emma and Ollie successfully take their next steps towards their chosen career paths.”
