THE SECOND Frome super-market is set to get under way this Sunday, with thousands of people expected to turn up to the town centre event.
Frome super-market is set to take place on Sunday 5th of August from 10.00am-2.00pm. It is the second of three pilot markets, the first held last month with the final pilot set to be held on Sunday 2nd of September.
The Frome super-market is a combination of the Frome Flea Market, Artisan Market and Mendip District Council’s Frome People’s Market.
Thousands of people turned up to the first super-market, with people visiting from all across the South-West.
Stuart Finney, operational assets manager at Mendip District Council said. “Apart from a few concerns over the road closure, the overall feedback from the day has been very positive.
“We plan to make a few slight changes to the future super-markets and have arranged for more shops to be open on the Sundays, which we believe will enhance the shopping experience.”
