WESLEY Methodist Church, in Frome, will be celebrating a Service of Light to remember members and friends of the church who have died in the last two years.
The service will be held on Sunday 28th November at 10.30am.
Rev. Jill Warren says, “This service is normally held annually but because of the Covid pandemic we were unable to do so last year. This year we will read the names of all those who have died and light a candle in their memory. We will say prayers for those we have lost and for their families and friends, who mourn their passing.
“We extend a warm welcome to anyone who has lost a loved one during the past two years and would like to remember them in this way, to join us.
“If you would like your loved one’s name to be included, please give their name to the Church Office, telephone number 01373 452383. The office is open Monday 9.20 am to 12.20pm, Tuesday to Thursday 9.20 am to 2.30pm. or leave a message on the answer phone.
“There will be an opportunity to speak to our pastoral team after the service, when tea and coffee will be shared downstairs in the hall.
“During these two years, when funerals have been restricted and family gatherings not able to happen, many people have felt unable to mourn in the usual way. We hope that this service will help to remember them, celebrate their lives and reflect on them.”
