SHARE – A Library of Things is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join the team.
Since setting up earlier this year, SHARE has been helping to reduce waste in Frome and connect the local community, through their sharing shop.
Charley Murrell of SHARE said, “There are a number of opportunities available: helping in the shop, repairing tools, and assisting with promotion and admin. Whatever your interests or skill set, we’ll help you find a role that you’ll find useful and enjoyable.
“Volunteering is a great way to get more involved in the local community. Many current volunteers find it invaluable in meeting new people and learning skills to carry forward into employment or use in daily life.
“One volunteer, Suneith, says joining the SHARE team has ‘renewed my faith in the future,’ and cites the shop as ‘building a friendlier, more generous neighbourhood’.
“On top of this, there are loads of advantages to volunteering: free borrowing, free tea and coffee and free workshops.
“If you want to help Frome to waste less, spend less and connect more, then join the team! Even for just an hour or two a week, what better way to support this mission than to share your time? Contact share@edventurefrome.org for more information or visit the shop on the bridge.”
