The new women’s clothes shop, Six, opened in Palmer Street, Frome, on the 23rd June this year and it’s been an exciting four months for owner Karen Bell.
Toni Weekes said, “Over the past few weeks, the shop has really taken shape with a beautiful new frontage which enhances the newly developing shopfronts along Palmer Street. This lovely street in Frome is coming to life after years in the doldrums and it’s great seeing more and more people popping into the new businesses alongside Six including Oliver James, Melanie Giles, Sam’s Kitchen & The Palmer Street Bottle.”
Karen, who’s been in the fashion business for the past 14 years is loving being part of the growth of independent retailers in this dynamic town.
Karen said, “There’s something very special about belonging to the small, intimate and friendly community that is Frome. I’m really enjoying building relationships not only with the customers, but fellow retailers too.”
Toni said, “Gradually Karen is getting to know her customers and finding out what they like. At the moment she’s busily seeking out new ranges to introduce into the shop (there’s a great selection of lovely autumn/winter clothing and accessories due in before Christmas!) and she’ll be bringing in some gorgeous clothing next spring.
“Opening the new shop, Six in Palmer Street has been hard work but a lot of fun. Over the coming months, Karen has all sorts of plans to meet more customers, make new friends and introduce her favourite fashion styles in this thriving and supportive community.
“There will be regular updates on what new stock is arriving and you might spot some lovely photos, taken by top photographer Steve Nyman, showing Karen’s beautiful daughter Emily modelling fashion in Palmer Street itself, as well as in Sam’s Kitchen and the Palmer Street Bottle, Frome.”
