The next speaker to visit Buckland Dinham History Group is Sarah Villiers, on Thursday 31st October at 7.30pm.
The group says, “Sarah is a well-know Somerset historian and a published author and we are delighted to welcome her to the village hall.
“Her talk is about ‘Somerset Victorian Village Schools’ – see how schooling used to be in the good olde days – or not!
“The history group will also pull photos from the village archives of school children from the 1860s to 1960s. Also on display will be the recently-returned school bell, which went missing from the old school some years ago.”
