THERE’S still time to book your course with Frome Community Education!
Frome Community Education is all set to begin face-to-face classes once again from next week.
Courses will run in the Cheese and Grain as well as in two new venues, the Black Swan Gallery and the Avanti school in Park Road.
Frome Community Education programme manager, Pia McGee says, “We are delighted with the response to our September programme. Some classes have completely sold out. Most others are filling fast.
“There is still time to book, but with courses starting next week you need to be quick! At the time of writing, there is still some availability for Iyengar Yoga, Gentle Yoga and Move with Ease – The Feldenkrais Method in the Exercise and Wellbeing category.
“If history and culture are of more interest, then take a look at Greg Morter’s ‘The Human Story: from subsistence tribes to global village’.
“Following Greg’s very successful ‘From Field to Fork’ course, this term he is examining the broad sweep of human history. Why did our ancestors survive when the Neanderthals became extinct? Why did so many places in different parts of the world experience very similar processes of urbanization, centralization of power and empire building? Why did Britain become the dominant global power rather than say, China in the 19th century?
“If you fancy learning a language, then there are still some places available in German, French and Italian classes with different levels to suit all abilities. Or, if your creative side is feeling neglected, what about Interior Design or Interior Colour and Paint with Charles Prior?
“These are just some of the many classes on offer this term.”
