FROME’S Great Big Green Week is back, bringing together the various ways in which the community is taking action to tackle climate change and protect the town’s green spaces.
The event started on Sunday 11th September and ends on Sunday 18th September. To ensure there is a mix of events that everyone can get involved in, the town council worked with the local community, to bring an array of activities to the line-up from guided walks, talks and workshops to food events.
Some events have already happened but there is still time to get involved. Remaining activities include: a pop-up play area in Millennium Green; Wild Bunch gathering at the Broadway allotments to promote and share ideas about gardening and wildlife; Frome Food Hub’s 10-mile pop-up feast; Future Shed Friday; energy advice drop-in sessions; Mojo Moves’ silent disco at Rodden Meadow; Ready Steady Cook with community fridge, bat walk and Ride Kids Ride event plus more.
