FROME Busks returned to the town centre last weekend on Saturday 9th March with students from Frome College and Selwood Academy performing on various busking stations around the town centre to raise funds.
The lineup saw students play mix of original songs and covers in bands and as soloists to raise funds for new initiatives and the college’s music department for clubs, equipment and concerts.
Principal Emma Reynolds said, “It was wonderful to see our talented young people sharing their music with the community through Frome Busks. It gave the town centre a real festival vibe, and it allowed our students to experience the thrill of a live performance.
“Busking is a wonderful way for them to enrich the cultural fabric of our town and for our music faculty to raise much-needed funds. Our thanks to Frome Town Council for hosting ‘Frome Busks’, and to our music department for their incredible hard work and dedication.”
