Organisers say, “This event will tell the story of our unique partnership and how we have joined forces to make a difference to health and climate change in our town.
“You will hear bursts of inspiration from guest speakers including: Dr Rita Issa (climate-focussed GP and activist), Jonathan Higman (NHS Somerset), Yvonne Bignall (award-winning nature coach), Simon Roberts (Centre for Sustainable Energy CEO) and Grace Maddrell (author of Tomorrow is Too Late), as well as members of our project team – including: Dr Helen Kingston, Charlotte Carson, Nikki Brain, Jo Morris, Emma Parker and Sue Palmer – to hear about their ground-breaking work happening right here in Frome.
“Expect special tours and breakout sessions where we all have a chance to input and be a part of the change. Our conference will inspire you to take action for your own wellbeing and for the future of your community. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet like-minded people, share ideas and learn how to get involved in creating a fairer future for all.”
Green & Healthy Project Manager, Sue Palmer stated, “The conference will be an interactive day with opportunities for two-way conversations to share ideas and tackle challenges together. We can’t wait to share our story and look forward to welcoming you!”
Jenny Hartnoll (health connections lead) who will also be speaking at the conference said, “Come along and join in with this great community initiative!”
