Frome Film Club presents Taxi, on Wednesday 13 July 8pm at the Merlin Theatre, directed by Iranian filmmaker Jafar Panahi while technically living under a filmmaking ban.
Panahi poses as a cab driver around Tehran, while tiny digital cameras record his seemingly spontaneous interactions with a series of oddball passengers.
The result is a playful and highly entertaining musing on the intersection of life and art. This is the last film of the current season. Films for 2016/17 and how to sign up will be announced very soon.
Tickets: non-members £6. Visit www.fromefilm.co.uk for information about films to be screened.
