FROME Concerts Group has announced its autumn series of concerts.
Rook Lane Chapel will be able to welcome a full capacity audience for the four Sunday afternoon concerts this autumn – the first time this has been possible since the pandemic.
Richard Jelly, of Frome Concerts Group’s committee, says he is particularly looking forward to the full-length concert at 3pm on Sunday 20th November, as the Eblana Trio will be playing a late piece by Mozart, which is one of his all-time favourites.
“I am thrilled that the Eblana Trio will be coming to Frome”, Richard said. “I have heard them play before and I know that their rendering of Mozart’s late Divertimento will be exquisite.”
The concerts’ programmes are as varied as usual. On Sunday 23rd October Ensemble Unmeasured offer a selection of lovely early music entitled ‘Timeless Treasures’.
There will be stunning arrangements of music both old and new from wind trio, the Darach Ensemble, on Sunday 30th October, and the Mikeleiz-Zucchi Duo’s concert, on Sunday 6th November, spans everything from reimagined traditional works to modern repertoire, all vividly rendered by the unique combination of saxophone and accordion.
Booking is now open. Tickets and further details are available at fromeconcertsgroup.org.
Complementary tea and biscuits will be on the menu before the one-hour concerts once again too.
