A student at Frome College is celebrating trampolining success after winning silver at the British Championships before striking gold at the Loule Cup in Portugal just days later.
Izzie Hunt, who trains at Evolution Trampoline Club and represents Team England, won individual gold in the junior women’s double mini trampoline competition at the Loule Cup.
She also helped secure team gold alongside her teammate Freya, adding to her silver-medal performance at the British Championships earlier in the week.
Izzie said, “I am incredibly proud of both medals and it means the world to me to hit some personal bests as well as medals. This year with GCSEs was hard, so to hit this high was amazing.”
Head coach Sarah Hunt said, “Competing at national and international level, requires dedication, resilience and countless hours of training. Izzie’s performances reflect her hard work and the commitment of the coaching team at Evolution Trampoline Club.
“The club, which operates sessions in Frome and Warminster, supports athletes at every stage of their journey, from beginners discovering the sport to gymnasts representing their country on the international stage.
“Izzie’s double medal success, alongside Freya’s contribution to the team victory, is a fantastic achievement and a proud moment for Frome College and Evolution Trampoline Club.”
Evolution Trampoline Club welcomes new members of all ages and abilities for trampoline and double mini trampoline sessions. It is also keen to hear from former gymnasts and divers interested in transferring their skills to the sport.
