The Grain Bar is getting ready for its teenage takeover on Friday 23rd October.
Run by Frome Active’s youth trainee programme, a Grain Bar will be in operation for their upcoming sessions on October 23rd and November 22nd.
Pictured here with Azeema Cafoor from Young People Frome, the gigs are being organised by YPF young trainee Tallulah with Grace, Dougie and Elliot, the Cheese and Grain’s new youth ambassadors.
Tallulah said, “Being the end of half-term, we are hoping that this will be packed. The line-up is coming together with bands such as Where The Water Lies and Seasons agreeing to play. The bands will also put together a playlist each which will showcase their influences.”
The sessions themselves will be free to all teenagers and there will be a burger and shake bar takeover at the cafe. As part of the trainee programme it represents the start of YPF trainees putting on more regular events at the Cheese and Grain for teenagers. The Teen Sessions are a collaboration between the Cheese and Grain and Young People Frome and are funded by Awards for All.
Any budding musicians looking to play at future events should email tallu lah.ede@gmail.com or call Frome Active on 469071.
