THE Frome Independent market has become a hot spot for thousands of people and is also proving to be a regular attraction for a whole host of celebrities.
Russell Brand was the latest famous face spotted at the hugely popular market on Sunday 2nd August.
Other celebrities who have been seen this year include Pearl Lowe, Cara Dillon, Kevin McCloud, Huey Morgan, Mariella Frostrup and Sam Taylor-Wood and her husband Aaron Taylor-Wood.
The market draws crowds of up to 10,000 people to Frome on the first Sunday of each month to shop, eat, socialise and listen to music and this summer has been no different. And with famous faces spotted around the town, the buzz seems to be spreading further afield.
The market this month saw the return of The Frome Independent beach with plenty of free fun for children and grown-ups alike, whether it was getting creative in the sand or relaxing in a deckchair accompanied by music from market favourites, the Vintage Mobile Disco.
As always, a fantastic range of local traders provided everything you might need for summer shopping – from deckchairs and picnic blankets to sundresses and sunglasses.
Those wanting a change from fish and chips on the beach were spoilt for choice as lunch options included authentic delights from all around the world, as well as the very best in regional food and of course lashings of Somerset cider.
