THE London African Gospel Choir will be performing Paul Simon’s Graceland, in full, at The Cheese and Grain on Friday 20th April.
The London African Gospel Choir was co-founded by Crystal Kassi to help London’s African community to promote the gospel, create a platform of excellence for African gospel singers and musicians, and popularise the African interpretations of gospel music.
They will bring a critically-acclaimed show to Frome that receives rave reviews from the audiences. Thirty years after its release, the London African Gospel Choir, perform their own powerful twist on Paul Simon’s ‘Graceland’ album, delivering from start to finish.
The richness and harmony of the choir’s rhythmic, evocative and empowering voices have created an overwhelming musical event, for anyone lucky enough to experience this special performance of Paul Simon’s Graceland.
The show will start at 7pm. Tickets cost £22.50 in advance from the Cheese and Grain website or £25 on the door. For more information about the London African Gospel Choir, visit their website on www.thelag choir.com.
