The Phogues – Somerset’s top tribute to The Pogues – return to The Tree House for their annual Christmas shows this week.
Endorsed by the late great Shane MacGowan himself, they deliver an uplifting, energetic and true to form tribute to the legendary Celtic folk punk band – with classics such as Streams of Whiskey, Fairytale of New York, Whiskey in the Jar, Fiesta, Broad Majestic Shannon, The Irish Rover and Pair of Brown Eyes (among many, many more) on the setlist.
Event organisers Good Shout Events promise a festive knees up on Friday 19th and Saturday 20th December, backed by top local support.
Friday will see rowdy, stompy fiddle and guitar duo Ribble opening up, whilst Saturday sees The Original Barn Finds and their folk/Americana/bluegrass takes on classic covers.
Advance booking is highly recommended for both shows. Tickets are available from www.cheeseandgrain.com
