THE Woodlanders are in the final stages of rehearsals for their annual Extravaganza at the East Woodlands Village Hall.
They say, “Can it really be that time of year already I hear you cry?
“This is your last chance to buy tickets so anyone who doesn’t want to miss the phenomenon that is The Woodlanders should call our new Box Office number 01373 839008 to buy their tickets. The show runs from 5th to 9th October.
“Show times are as follows – Tuesday to Friday – curtain up 7.45pm and Saturday curtain up at 2pm. This year we are introducing a matinee performance for those who prefer to not be out in the dark evenings.
“Please note that social distancing measures will be in place to put everyone’s mind at ease and face masks are worn at your discretion.”
Chair of The Woodlanders, Sandra Gaisford, adds, “This is traditional entertainment as it used to be. There is rousing singing and dancing to start the show, a comedy tale or two, some dreamy songs, a sing-along, funny rhymes and a whole host of acts which have to be seen to be believed!
“There is a cash bar which will ensure the audience enjoys the entertainment on offer even more and raffle prizes galore. Come and see how 11 local entertainers can keep you in fits of laughter for two hours. Once seen, never forgotten!
“Kerry Bishop will be on hand to provide the music with his usual flair, panache and style.”
The Woodlanders were established in 1977 and over that time have raised well over £120,000 for local charities and all profits this year will again be donated to local good causes.
Ticket prices have been frozen and remain just £10, and are available by contacting 01373 839008, reneecole14@ymail.com
