LOCAL man Jack Harrington and his friend, Marc Radford, will be taking part in the Macmillan Longest Day Golf Challenge.
The pair will be playing four rounds of golf on the highest golf course in the United Kingdom, West Monmouthshire in South Wales, on Tuesday 19th July.
Jack said, “We will tee off at 5.15am and we will complete the four rounds by 10pm that day. It will amount to 20 miles of walking, with the golf thrown in.
“We are both keen golfers and wanted to challenge ourselves. We know what fantastic work Macmillan do and we want to raise some money for a great charity. It would be great if we could raise £500.
“We play as much golf as we can in the school holidays and travel the length and breadth of the country to play new courses when there is the opportunity! Marc has played over 600 courses across three continents and i’ve played a mere 150 in comparison!
“We are a determined and confident pair, so believe we will be able to complete the 72 holes. The members and the club officials have made us feel very welcome in the past and are looking forward to hosting us.”
