Veteran singer-songwriter, Tom Robinson gave a special exclusive concert in Frome last week to help the town’s record shop, Raves from the Grave, celebrate its 20th birthday.
The music and movies shop on Cheap Street invited over 150 of its loyal customers to an intimate night of live music at Frome’s Assembly Rooms
Tom Robinson headlined the evening with an acoustic set and there were also performances from local acts including Dexter’s Extra Breakfast, Three Corners, Vicki Burke and Stevie Parker.
The shop held the bash to celebrate 20 years since it was first opened by Richard Churchyard in 1997.
Richard said, “It was a fantastic evening – I don’t think it could have gone any better!
“We had a great variety of music and all the people who came along were those who have supported the shop. A lot of people have told us they really enjoyed it.
“Everything went smoothly and I think it was definitely a fitting way to celebrate Raves’s 20th birthday. We’ll have another one in 20 years if I’m still around!
“Thank you to everyone who came along or were involved in the event, and to all who continue to support the shop.”
The shop, which also has a branch in Warminster, prides itself on a huge and wide-ranging selection of music and films, and says if they don’t have what you want, they can get it.
