Training for community groups in the Town Hall has been taking place in Frome since last October and has covered subjects such as data protection, how to deal with tricky customers and online fundraising. The training schedule is all set to continue and most events are completely free.
Mayor, cllr Sheila Gore said, “We’re thrilled the programme is being so well received. Frome has a thriving community spirit. Setting up a not-for-profit organisation, charity or community group is all the more possible when there is so much knowledge and support.
“Trustees, volunteers and staff can book as many of them as they like, or pick individual courses more relevant to them. There is still space on the courses below, if these are not for you, please share the information with someone who might benefit.”
Following sessions include:
• Fundraising for Schools – Free – Thursday 15 March 10am – 12pm
• Is Fundraising your best route to Survival? – Free – 5 April 7pm – 8.30pm
