Orchardleigh Golf Club Ladies section have recently played the Sally Lock Trophy which took place in two rounds on Thursday 8th & 15th August in perfect weather conditions.
After the first round Anne Kirk was in the lead with 38 pts followed by Liz South on 36 pts followed by Michele Fairweather, Ann James, Jackie Pudney and Lorraine Collings on 34 pts.
In the second round Liz South came in with the best score of 35 pts which was enough for her to win the trophy with a total of 71 pts.
The second best score in the second round was Liz Attenborough with 34 pts and 3rd with 33 pts Pat Jones. Anne Kirk’s second round brought in 31 pts which resulted in her coming 2nd overall with a total of 69 pts.
On Sunday 18th August The Jefferies Trophy was played which is a mixed pairs 4BBB. The 18 pairs went out in fine weather with just a little drizzle at times but this didn’t stop Liz and Terry South bringing in an impressive score of 44 pts to win the trophy. Close behind with 42 pts were Ann and Steve James and in 3rd place with 40 pts were Anne and Steve Regler.
