To mark Ukraine Independence Day on Saturday 24th August, friend of Hunting Raven and passionate advocate of all things Ukrainian, Ruth Windle, will be in the bookshop porch from 11am until 1pm.
Ruth will be sharing a selection of Ukrainian novels, poetry and history from her own library for you to browse and talk about with her.
Ruth said, “Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, I have been immersing myself in Ukrainian literature and history and I am delighted to share my passion with you.
“You will find some amazing novelists and poets (excellently translated) and first-class historians to open up the world of Ukrainian culture for you. There will be a book list for you to take away.
“Hunting Raven has been brilliant at sourcing these books for me and I hope you will be inspired to order some for your own bookshelves. I look forward to meeting you on the 24th.”
