MENDIP Community Speed Watch (CSW) is asking for more volunteers to assist the ever growing number of speed check sites in and around Frome.
Ashley Reay from the Mendip CSW team said that unfortunately there has been an increase in speeding. Around the town, the police have implemented even more sites that they check and these sites are supplemented by the CSW teams who assist the speed enforcement units by recording the speed of vehicles who continually exceed the speed limit.
It can be as little as an hour per week or even a couple of hours per month that volunteers would have to complete and full training is given.
For any further details then please contact Sergeant Rachel Clark at Frome Police Station or any police officer who will accept the details and pass them on to the CSW team who will, in turn, contact the applicants and give full details of what is required.
