Volunteers wanted for special exhibition at Black Swan Arts

The June meeting of Frome Ladies Club was presided over by chairman, Christine Cornaby, who welcomed a new member.
A card from Christine Potter thanking members for her flowers and good wishes after her recent operation was read to the members. Christine then went on to reminding members of forthcoming events, being trips to Weymouth and the Bristol Harbour Festival in July, Weston-Super-Mare in August and Blenheim Palace in September to name a few.
Refreshments were then served by hostesses Carol Dufton, Leslie Hilland Monica Price.
Christine Cornaby then introduced the speaker for the evening being Helen Laye from Wiltshire Farm Foods who told us she was a chef and hi-lighted some of the many lovely meals currently on offer. Each member received a copy of the brochure where details of 300 meals and desserts were listed giving calories, fats, sugar and salt content. Helen laid out a variety of meals and cakes for the members to taste. After question time, Brenda Burridge gave the vote of thanks.
The raffle winners were Ann Hayton, Christine Cornaby, Jenny Boorer, Janet Charlesworth, Elspeth Regler and Janette Mogford.
The next meeting will be held on 25th July when the speaker will be Helen Bell – My Life in the Faulklands. Christine Cornaby on Frome 01373 300641 would be happy to hear from anyone wishing to join the club.
