THE path between Wallbridge and Adderwell is now walkable again, thanks to the work carried out by volunteers.
Simon Keyes, volunteer co-ordinator for Friends of River Frome said, “The best way to keep the undergrowth under control is for it to be walked regularly, so we are encouraging people to get down there when they can.
“People can also see the new boadwalk at the Adderwell end – installed by Acorn, who are developing the Old Printworks site.”
It is understood that Somerset County Council is due to consider an application for the path to be registered as a public right of way.
Simon continued, “Thank you to everyone who has submitted evidence that the path was walked regularly for at least 20 years before 2018.”
Anyone with old pictures or maps showing the path, or is willing to fill in an evidence form, is asked to contact Simon on 07968 440684.
